1. Why is staganddove.com right for me?
Staganddove.com boasts a unique community and provocative social whirl which only YOU are qualified to become involved in. Each week we will give you the lowdown on the latest music, club and film reviews and previews, information and insight into places to eat, shop and workout as well as regular columns and features on fashion, single life out on the tiles, and we even have our very own Love Coach to answer your love queries. 2. Will I be able to find love on the site?
Darling, there ain't no guarantees, but you'll have far more fun meeting your like-minded soul mate here than anywhere else. Not only do we set you up with what's on offer in real live terms via webcam, but we also have advice and insight on dating, style, eating out (or eating in, wink) as well as cool stuff that's happening out and about. Staganddove.com promotes a lifestyle you’ll want to be part of - the love stuff will just follow.
3. Are there any restrictions on who can join?
There sure are sweet thing. You have to be 18 and over and have oodles of charm, wit, intelligence, style and good looks - not to mention be on the pulse politically, socially and culturally. This is the space for happening, bright, young creative things.
4. Is it safe?
With a username/nick name and all communication being conducted through the site, you couldn't be safer. No-one will have access to your private email address and we are on the ball and ready to send in the heavies if anyone is behaving in an inappropriate manner. When we receive a complaint, we will get on the case pronto.
5. How much does it cost?
How much does love cost? Contrary to what Janet Jackson said, the best things in life are not free. One should invest in a happy, love-filled future as much as a property or a new car. Trust us, it’s all worth it.

6. How do I subscribe?
Just go to the Registration Page and sign up. What are you waiting for?
7. I don't have a web camera. Can I buy one from staganddove.com?
Sure you can. You can buy a webcam when you sign up, or you can buy one anytime later, when you're a member. You simply go to the Registration Page, and purchase a webcam there.
8. How do I set up my profile?
Go to “My Page” and work through your options on the left hand side. You can update text, images, record videos, change your profile picture and more.
9. What is important to know when creating my profile?
Be honest and don't be shy - but most of all, have a good laugh! You're here to have some fun, so get on with it!
10. Is staganddove.com responsible for the content of the profiles?
Afraid not. But if you stay true to yourselves in the information you submit, then there won't be any issues. On the odd occasion, if you stumble over a blatant fibber, then let us know and we will nuke them out of cyberspace.
11. How do I change my password or email address?
My Page > Account Settings.
12. What is Winking?
Winking is when you want to flirt with someone and say hello. You can Wink at them, and they can Wink at you. What happens next is up to you both.
13. When can I wink, email or video chat with other members?
Honey, as soon as you become a member, you will be able to do anything on offer.
14. Where do I receive winks, emails etc from other members?
When a member winks or messages you, you'll receive notification on your telephone in the top right corner. You can view your winks and messages on My Page. Click on My Messages or My Winks to view.
15. How do I send a Wink to let someone know I'm interested?
Go to their Profile Page and use the options displayed underneath their name and details.
16. How do I know if someone wants to speak to me on web cam?
Your phone – in the top right hand corner - will ring and a message will alert you with the user's details.
17. What happens if there's a problem?
You can cut off at any time and then, if necessary, report it to us on sd@staganddove.com.
We'll take it from there.
18. How do I stop someone from emailing me or contacting me by video?
Any other member can email you, but you don't have to reply. You can also choose to reject a member's video chat request. And, if any member causes a nuisance, you can report them on sd@staganddove.com. A member of staff will contact you to follow up.
19. How do I create my videos, and put it on my member's page?
Go To My Page and then select "Record Video". From here you can record a 1 minute video clip via your webcam. Follow instructions on the page.

20. How long can my Video message be and what should be in it?
You can have a maximum of 3 x 1 minute videos. Once you have 3 videos you will have to delete one before you can record another video. The video you set as your default will appear in the Fair Game (competition) panel if you are selected. As for what you should include in your videos? That's easy - just be yourself and let us see some of that sparkling personality we know you have. Give us plenty of insight into the real you peppered with some quirky anecdotes. Show us what you're made of.
21. What is the Black Book all about?
The Black Book is where you put all the hotties you've picked out on your searches. It's the place where you can store your favourite Stags and Doves you've found on the site.
22. How do I search for matches?
Click on Stags and Doves and use the search filters to refine your search.
23. How do I know if someone is online?
The "online now" icon will display in green on the Search Page. A green icon will also appear on a Member's Profile Page next to their name if they are "online now".
You can also refine your search to only find members who are online now by selecting the check box on the Quick Search box or the Advanced search.
24. How do I comment on any editorial?
Type in the Add Comment panel and hit Submit Comment.
25. If I win Fair Game how do I get my prize?
Simple, we just credit you with three months free membership. Your credit or debit card will not be touched during this time.
26. How do I find out about any freebies, special offers or events on the site?
Either go to the Offers Page using the navigation at the top of the Home Page, or click on one of Offers boxes on the site.
27. Can I cancel my subscription?
Of course. Go to My Page and then to Account Settings. In Account Settings click the 'Cancel My Membership' button. This will take you through to World Pay and here the cancellation process is simply and easily explained. The only remaining question is: Why would you want to cancel anyway?
28. If I leave will you delete my profile?
Yes, of course. But, as we said, with everything that’s on offer why would you leave?
29. Why can't I see a phone in the top right corner?
You must have the latest version of Flash Player to view the telephone. This is where you will receive your messages, winks and chat requests.

30. How do I upload pictures?
Go to My Page and then to My Pictures. Click on My Pictures where you'll find the instructions for uploading a picture.
31. How do I increase the volume on my video recordings?
Either speak louder, or move closer to the webcam. Alternatively adjust your webcam settings.
32. What do I do if I am getting a lot of echo using Live Chat?
Lower the volume of your webcam by adjusting the webcam settings, or, to cure the problem completely, use headphones.
33. What do I do if I get feedback when using Live Chat?
Feedback is caused by your webcam being too close to your speakers and/or your speakers being too loud. So, if possible, move your webcam further away from your speakers. Also, lower the volume of your speakers and/or microphone. Or, to cure the problem completely, use headphones.
34. How do I change my registered email address?
Email sd@staganddove.com with your new email address and we'll change it for you. But don't forget to include your name, profile name and old email address.
