"You're looking very businesslike today," the husband remarked this morning. There was a distinctive glint in his eye as he sized up my grey shirt and Vivienne Westwood pencil skirt combo. Jeez, what a cliché - the sexy secretary look gets 'em every time (or should that be "sexy chief exec" look in this day and age?)

I could pitch up at a party in a bleeding edge PPQ mini-dress and four inch stripper platforms and be met with nothing more than a raised eyebrow - but mooch around the kitchen preparing a packed lunch in my work kecks, and all of a sudden he's Mr. Octopus hands, Which is not actually such a bad thing this season.

For once, fashion is highly likely to make men fancy you (PPQ frocks and ridiculous platforms aside). The overriding look of the season pays distinct homage to one Miss Moneypenny - think fitted skirts and jackets teamed with diaphanous blouses.

All of which will render you ripe for the ravishing in most blokes' eyes.
Not to mention make it much easier to get away with blowing £200 on the new Westwood skirt.
