Dear Love Coach,
I was at a party the other weekend and I met a girl I got on really well with. She had it all going for her - beautiful, funny and smart. We had loads on common, but there was just one thing, she was disabled and in a wheel chair - the poor thing paralyzed from the waist down.
I have never been attracted to someone with a disability before, and not sure what to do. The spark was there, but now I don't know how to act on it, as it feels a bit weird. Can you help?
Mark, East Grinstead.
Dear Mark,
Well dear, you have found yourself in a rare situation, but you're not the first. There are many couples who have enjoyed happy and long relationships when one has a disability.
Love is love. Attraction is attraction. And although falling for someone with a disability may bring a set of challenges, it may be a wonderful and enriching experience, too.
There are no set rules in love - so go ahead and break them, and see what the future holds.
