Love Issues Solved Here
Published 11-02-2008
Dear Love Coach,
I feel like I've done something a bit stupid. I went out on a bit of a bender with a really good friend of mine a few weeks ago and I ended up having sex with him. It totally took me by surprise but I have to say I enjoyed it and I think I might have feelings for him.
I've seen him a couple of times since, but we haven't discussed what happened, and there has definitely been a bit of tension. What should I do?

Dear Kelly,
Oh dear, this is a tricky one, but you know what? This is how many people get together with their soulmate.
Getting it on with a friend whom you care about is a sure way to a successful relationship, even though it is a bit weird to start off with.
The only issue is does he view you as a potential partner? You won't know until you get it out in the open.
Why don't you invite yourself to his place with a bottle of wine and have a chat about how you feel. If he really cares about you as a friend then the situation will be resolved one way or the other, without anyone getting hurt. It's always best to know where you stand.
