One of my best friends has recently got a new boyfriend, whom I met for the first time last week. I got the shock of my life - it was someone I had had a one night stand with a couple of years ago.

We were both mortified when we clapped eyes on each other, and I don't think my friend has any idea. I feel so uncomfortable every time I see them together. What should I do?

Good heavens, what a mess you've got yourself in. These things happen.

The main issue is - Do you still fancy him?

If you do, then you need to work out what's going to be best in the long term (do you really want to shag him and fuck your friend over?)

If not, then you have nothing to worry about. You will get past this initial embarrassment. It's really not worth upsetting your friend. What she doesn't know won't hurt her.
