Single of the week
Human League Vs Kissy Sellout - 'Things That Dreams Are Made Of' (White)
Bigger than Mark Ronson and Calvin Harris put together is the East End mash-up hero Kissy Sellout.
As part of a package of remixes to promote the forthcoming Human League remix album, 'Things That...' has been given the Kissy rerub - a dirty electro hustle of a mix overflowing with cranked up old school bleeps, futuristic pings and fucked up dings - basically making Harris look like Aled Jones. Move over loser!
STAG CHOICE
Best of the rest:
Nathan Fake - 'The Sky Was Pink' (Border Community) - More quality knob-twiddling from this young upstart.
Syclops - 'The Fly' (Tirk) - Maurice Fulton continues to kick electro ass under his Syclops moniker.
Herve - 'What You Need The Most' (Dubsided) - If you want to be
fashionable, then get this record. Now.
Album of the week
Ewan Pearson - Piece Work (!K7)
Renowned UK remixer Ewan Pearson has, at last, put all his remixes into one package. Yes, one big sexy package. This double CD, 'Piece Work', has been snagged by Berlin's !K7 - where Pearson has been living since 2002 - and has made nerdy music lovers across the globe sweat in all sorts of intimate places.
For years Pearson's remixes have been wooing industry and punters alike, from lending his magic touch to the Pet Shop Boys and Goldfrapp, through to Mocky, The Rapture and Playgroup. There are loads more to mention, but there just isn't the space.
Stand out tracks:
Seelenluft's 'Manilla' and Freeform Five's 'Perspex Sex'.
Just feel that dance floor sizzle!
DOVE CHOICE
Best of the rest:

Various - 'Sounds Affects: Brazil' (Mr Bongo) - It's a capoeira love affair!
