TV
Dancing On Ice (Sundays, ITV1, 5.50pm)
We just waved a teary goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing, but never fear! Put those hankies away as now we have Dancing On Ice to bring us joy on those lonely winter nights.
Legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean gives us a good show by taking a load of - ahem - celebrities through their slippery paces as they battle to win the icey crown.
Expect Gareth Gates, Samantha Mumba, Suzanne Shaw and Linda Lusardi (yes, really) to be hurling themselves about in inappropriate twinkly outfits to try and further their careers, or what's left of them.
Quality telly.
FILM
I Am Legend (Francis Lawrence, 2008)
Of course Will Smith had to be in a movie like this. A sci-fi, action story set in 2012? The part was written for him.
Robert Neville (Smith) basically wakes up one day to find that he's the only human alive on the planet, just him and his dog Sam. But they aren't alone (cue scary music), as the planet - well, New York - is infested by some mutated beasties whom have managed to survive a deadly virus that was unleashed by accident a few years earlier. Gripping stuff.
Smith/Neville basically shows off his fine physique in his quest to
find an antidote and gets the world back to normal. Visually stunning.
