Hot Action!
Lulu Le Vay Gets Her Sweats On
Published 29-01-2008
luluAs I have decided to retire from running marathons - is soooo last year, didn't you know? I have re-ignited my love of martial arts.

Having already undertaken a stint at a boxing gym in trendy Hoxton Square, specialising in Jeet Kune Do, kickboxing and boxing (which I quit, is no fun beating up wet graphic designers and music journalists), I signed up with a Personal Trainer at my local gym for some one-on-one action. And I can't recommend this enough.

After a 30 minute session you not only feel like you have run ten miles, but the stress, anger, hatred and general life malaise that you have punched, kicked and grunted out of your system is really quite remarkable. And if I am ever jumped upon by an idiot attacker one of these late nights walking home from the bus stop - just try it, mate - I would feel nothing but pity for him.

My elbow punch is now so perfected I can break someone's jaw in a second, and my round house kick would leave one serious bruise.

But unfortunately, last week, I didn't know my own strength - I kicked my trainer so hard I knocked him to the floor, tearing a calf muscle in the process. But never fear, I'll be back on my feet in no time, so watch your backs.
